This is not an Official Site for any of the Games here.
I am just a player like most everyone else. I am not a part of any of the development teams, a game moderator, or a forum moderator for any of the games. The information and data on the games are from my research, playing the games, the forums, the various spreadsheets available for the games, and information sent in by other players.
This site is going to change from what it originally was to include more of the farm games as I add the apps and learn how to play them. Some of the links and page files will change you may need to update your bookmark links, as they change the original file will be kept as a redirect page to the new file with a note on the change to let you know.
Each game will have it's own section with a main page for each, the main page is where you will find the latest news and information on the game which is posted as soon as I can when I find new data.
The Latest News
I have added a new menu to the pages to help make navigating the site easier and faster. You may need to refresh the pages or clear your cache for them to display correctly. I will be moving some of the older pages to new sections, I will make note of this on the page, be sure to update your bookmarks.
I'm still looking at two more games right now, Island Paradise and Country Life, both have their merits as farm games. I like some of the concepts of Country Life and being an island guy myself like the idea of Island Paridise, more on these games below. I also have MyFarm and Lil Green Patch however they just did not seem to hold my interest. If anyone is an avid player of either of these games and would like to contribute some game information and data I would consider making a section on these as well, contact me if you have any interest in any of these games.
Farm Town
Farmtown is the first game I started playing. It is a highly addictive and very social game to play and it is more complex than the others I have tried so far. Each area of the game is basically a chat room, your avatar has a name and there are many different ways to communicate with other players.
I rebuilt Farm Manager for FarmTown, starting in Excel version 5.0 then upgrade it to newer versions. It is also now availble for OpenOffice Calc spreadsheet.
Farmville
This has become one of the more popular games on Facebook. Zynga has done a good job of keeping up with server loads and still add weekly upgrades and enhancements to the game to keep it interesting.
The new Farm Manager for Farmville is in the works. The current version is available for download in a .zip file in Excel Version 9 for Office 2000 or above. I try to update it with new items as quickly as possible, however the rate Zynga has been upgrading the game demands frequent updates. The concept of the next version is to allow the end user to easily add new crops, animal, and items without the need to download an updated version.
(Lil) Farm Life
I have just added this application and in the process of gathering data on the game. If anyone has been playing the game and has any tips, tricks, information, or advice to share please send them to me.
There are tables with farm facts, crop information, resource links, and various calculators for the game. The game has a new development team who have made some changes and enhancements. The main issue with the game is the server lag time which causes the game to lock until the data transfer is completed, frustrating to say the least.
Café World
Some of my farmer neighbors on the other games asked if I could come up with some info and tools for this game. I looked into it and although it is not a farm game I thought about what happens with all that food we grow, harvest, and sell. Every rural farm community has a local diner or cafe so it seemed to fit in. I have added a section for the game with tables on the dishes and items, and a level calculator for the game.
Island Paradise
This game from Meteor seems to run fairly well, I have added a short Island Paradise page with some data on the game. I have a few friends playing this game which makes it nice for having neighbors. You can plant crops, harvest from trees and animals, steal from your neighbors, find items for salvage and the other usual features available on the other games. There have been several updates to the game since I first started and very few minor game issues. I will gather new data and update what I have, if anyone would like to contribute data it will be more than welcome.
Country Life
I like the concept of the fields being plowed and ready for planting when they are harvested, being able to produce saleable products from the crops with machines, and feeding the animals from the crops grown. The developers continue to add new items and crops to the game, and they have addressed the issues with the game loading, gifting problems, and with playing the game. I have been more active on this game lately, if I see more interest in it I will consider adding a section to the site for it.
