| This is a brief explanation of the workbook, what is in it, what it does, and how to get started. | ||
| This version does not use
macros, future versions may need to use them for new features with the
calculators and other functions on the sheets. The returns data are calculated harvested crops, trees, and animals based upon prices currently found for the game. The sheets are protected with the cells locked with the exception of those which are intended for user input or those which may need to be changed to update the data as the game changes. This will keep you from accidently erasing formulas or other data which I did a lot of while developing this. This sheet is the only one with a password, the rest can be have the protection removed if you wish. As Farmville changes and new data is available I will update the sheets and post the new workbooks for download. I update the tables on the Farmville Facts pages when I find it so you can check there and keep your information current. Also check the Farm Manager download page for any bugs found and fixes to correct them. This Farmville version is a modified copy of the Farm Manager for Farmtown. Some of the formulas have been improved here and will be added to the Farmtown version in the next update. |

| Farm Info Sheet | ||
| The only data input required for
the calculators to work are coins, farm cash, experience points and the
amount of crop fields. In order for the calculators to function as designed
these four fields must be updated as the values on your farm change. If you
update the farm size it will calculate the amount of coins needed or left
after the next upgrade. It will also update the farm title on the top of the
page. The rest is optional but handy to have. |

| Farmer Name and Farm name will display your farm name and the farmer name at the top of the Farm Info and Calculators sheets. This is not necessary but the game may change and allow us to name the farm and perhaps the avatar also. It will also display your level, level title, and farm size name. | ||
| Assets will do two things for you. First it creates an inventory record of your farm. This is handy to have in the case of a disaster with your farm data. You will have a record to give to the support team to help restore your farm if that option becomes available. Secondly it allows the formulas to track the value of your farm using the resale value for items. | ||
| Calculators Sheet | ||
| This sheet has 6 cycle
calculators and a 4 day cycle crop planner. A planner for each of the short
growth time crops for planting and a calculator for each growth time to
calculate the cycles and fields needed. Crops planted on any day are
harvested on the day they become ripe. Short growth crops are counted as being part of the next day's harvest. |

| Costs, Returns, and Summary Calculators | ||
| These three are tied to the crop planner to display the data related to each. Costs shows your costs for each day of the cycle for seeds and plowing. Returns show your income from harvests with the gross and net returns. The Summary shows a condensed daily breakdown of the data. It is not unusual to show a negative value for days when you are planting long growth crops, the overall cycle total is what you should watch. If you show a negative value on coins after costs you don't have enough coins to plant. You only need to pay attention to the day you are planting, future days will often show negative numbers until you enter the correct coin amount for that day. The coins entered should be the amount on hand before plowing and planting. The summary also show how many experience point you will receive for plowing and planting. | ||
| Neighbors Sheet | ||
| This sheet is to keep track of your neighbors with notes on each. It is optional and not necessary it use. It was added to the Farmtown version by request so I added it here for user convenience. | ||
| Data Sheet | ||
| This sheet holds formulas and data for named ranges and cells used globally. The cells holding values that may need updating as they change in Farmville eg: crop selling prices and seed cost are not locked and can be changed as needed as are the cells for the experience levels. So this sheet does not need to be unprotected to change those values. The level names for above level 28 are not verified and may changed, the experience points needed are estimates from a spreadsheet I found on the Farmville forum. These values may need to be updated when more accurate information becomes available. | ||
